The barracks were occupied by a german SS-Panzer unit.Occupation Forces History
The barracks housed the armored squadron of the British Berlin Infantry Brigade.It featured a sports ground. The barracks were next to the Spandau Prison. This gave the russians the opportunity to take a close look at the British Armor Squadron when they took turns at the prison's guard towers.
